Veterans Benefits

Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW) is approved for the instruction and training of veterans under Section 1775, Title 38, U.S. Code and Public Law 95-202 by the Indiana State Approving Agency.

Are you eligible for Veterans GI Bill benefits?

  • Information about the many GI Bill programs is located on the Department of Veterans Affairs website. Visit www.gibill.va.gov to decide which program is best for you and to submit your application on-line. Applications can also be completed at your nearest VA regional office.
  • Processing times, by VA, for these benefits routinely requires at least six to eight weeks, so apply for your benefits while you are still in the service, or in any case apply well before you arrive at CTSFW.
  • Applicants will receive a Certificate of Eligibility letter from the VA, which will provide benefit information such as length of benefits remaining (how many months/days) and percentage of benefits that are payable under the applicable GI Bill program applied for. The exact information provided may defer between the various GI Bill programs.

Certification Process

  • Once admitted to a seminary degree program and approved by DVA, students will need to provide their Certificate of Eligibility to the VA Certifying Official at the seminary.
  • The VA Certifying Official will certify a student’s enrollment to the VA for each quarter/summer session. This certification will take place one week after each quarter/summer session begins. If you do not wish to be certified for a given quarter/summer session, send an email to the VA Certifying Official requesting such.
